About
Casa e Jardim Web is a free resource for learning to make friendship bracelets with embroidery floss. The guides are written for people who have never tied a bracelet knot, and for people who can already make a stripe and want to understand how chevrons, diamonds and alpha patterns work.
What you will find here
- Knot guides for the four knots every pattern is built from: forward, backward, forward-backward and backward-forward.
- Pattern tutorials for classic structures such as the candy stripe, chevron, diamond and zigzag, with string counts, lengths and color layouts.
- Technique guides on choosing thread, measuring, starting with a loop, ending neatly, adjustable closures and fixing mistakes.
- Color ideas, from ready-made palettes to using a color wheel.
If you are new, the best place to begin is Friendship Bracelets for Beginners, followed by the guide to the basic knots. The full list of guides is on the Tutorials page.
How the guides are written
Each tutorial lists the materials first, gives string lengths in inches and centimeters, describes one action per step and points out where beginners most often go wrong. Times are estimates: your first bracelet will take longer than your tenth.
The illustrations on this site are simplified drawings made to show string order, knot direction and color placement. They are diagrams, not photographs of finished bracelets.
About the patterns
The knots and the classic structures taught here are traditional and have no known author. The specific color layouts, variations and alpha motifs on this site are our own designs, described in our own words; we do not republish charts from pattern collections, and we do not use characters, logos or other protected artwork.
We do not publish invented reviews, ratings or testimonials.
